6x8 Eastern White Pine timbers.

All edges were peeled with a draw knife.

This is an 18x24 log timbered cabin in Cross Village, Michigan. For simplicity and ease in construction, the owners used 6x8 White Pine timbers sawn and kiln dried. The joints were sealed with foam tape and then chinked with Log Jam Chinking. The interior ceiling was made from cedar log rafters and our 1x6 cedar T&G cottage grade paneling.
